If your hoop doesn't turn on / the battery doesn't last very long

  • Ensure your battery is fully charged, plug the USB cable into a mains USB charger - not a computer/laptop as they will not put out enough power to charge this battery - and allow to charge until the red LED turns blue
  • Make sure the connector is seated fully and there is no damage to the cables running from the hoop
  • Make sure the remote battery is inserted correctly and has charge, the RED led on the top should light up when you press a button

If your hoop is stuck on one colour

  • If it is stuck in white or red only, this means low power. After a full charge it will become normal.

If your White Colour is turning yellow at one end

if you find that your hoop's LEDs are shifting to yellow at one end while in the solid colour white mode, try using the brightness button to find the right level for your hoop size.

If your remote is not working

This can be down to a few things:

  • Check that the plastic tab has been removed from the battery enclosure.
  • Replace the battery in the remote with a fresh CR2025.
  • Check that when a button is pressed, the small red LED at the top is lighting up.
  • If these haven't fixed it, and the LED is lighting, the remote may be on a slightly different frequency to the hoop, contact the vendor you purchased the hoop from and they can provide a new remote.

If your hoop is only lighting up part way

This can sometimes be because the hoop has been configured incorrectly at creation. To Fix this:

  • Plug in the battery, the LEDs should initiate
  • Press the off key to turn the hoop into standby mode
  • Press the auto key multiple times in quick succession until the hoop’s LEDs light up all-white
  • Use the mode+ and mode- keys to increase/decrease the number of LEDs being addressed in increments of 10, use the spd+ and spd- keys to increase/decrease them by 1
  • If you are unable to increase past the existing limit line there may be a physical fault with the hoop
  • if you are able to increase the number of LEDs until the hoop is full again, press the off key again to save the new status

If your hoop is not showing the correct colours when using the remote

This can sometimes be because the hoop has been configured incorrectly at creation. To Fix this:

  • Plug in the battery, the LEDs should initiate
  • Press the off key to turn the hoop into standby mode
  • Press the auto key multiple times in quick succession until the hoop’s LEDs light up all-white
  • Press the blue button (the 3rd button on the 4th row) once, the first 3 LEDs on the hoop should light up as some combination of RED, GREEN, BLUE
  • Press the blue button until those 3 LEDs show RGB, then press the off button
  • Press the on button and test the solid colours again.

If none of the above work, please make a note of how the hoop is faulty (stuck on one colour, remote not responding, won't hold charge/only works for short amount of time) and provide photos where relevant, before contacting either echo hoops or the place you bought it.
